Jaguar Land Rover | Reinventing for Beyond Tomorrow

Australia Launches the All New Discovery

I absolutely love working with the very people that are reinventing themselves for a world Beyond Tomorrow. Jaguar Landrover are an iconic brand that have been with us for decades, and a business that I have a very long term personal connection to.

The next 12 months or so are going to see a number of massive leaps forwards as Jaguar Land Rover release some exciting new products on our roads around the world. This marks the start of a new journey for the business as they put a new focus on the fusion of technology, experience and a new breed of consumer.

I was the opening keynote for the launch event in Uluru, and took my crew and one of the All New Discovery’s on a drive through the incredible outback of Australia.

ROBOT WARS | They’re coming to take over the world!

Should we fear an impending uprising?

The fear of robots taking over the world has reached an all time high. Elon Musk has stirred the pot again saying we should be terrified and it is the scariest problem we face as humanity today.

Should we really be frightened of robots, are they going to be fighting us in the streets and trying to take over the world? Or are we all living in fear of a fairytale and just terrified of the unknown? I joined The Project on Channel Ten to talk about Elon’s latest musings and you can watch the full segment above.

Qantas have seen their Future. It’s Facial Recognition

And it’s their biggest technology play ever

Most passengers will be familiar with the facial recognition cameras that are widespread through our international airports in Australia. For the international traveller it’s something of a normality walking into the glass box at immigration, while the cameras scan your face and check you against your passport details on the immigration database. It takes just seconds, the doors slide open and you’re off. It’s almost a shame to not get the stamps in your passport anymore.

Flying cars are now a real thing

So when can you buy them?

Global Futurist Chris Riddell joined The Project on Channel Ten to talk about the launch of flying cars in Australia, and when we should expect to see them buzzing in the skies.

In the future we will be able to transport ourselves in personal drones, so how will this change the way we think about technology. Will government legislation be able to keep up with this pace of change or will it get in the way and stifle innovation?

The Resurgence of Old Technology

When Vinyl comes back into fashion

I joined ABC Peter Goers to talk about the resurgence of old technology into our lives. Vinyl has made an undeniable comeback, and many argue it is better than most current digital forms. What other trends from yesteryear will we see back in our lives, and how can we make sure with everything now ‘digital’ that we keep on experiencing everything in the way it was originally intended?

Amazon Attacks | Future of Australian Retail

This is the tone for the year ahead

Let me start by saying this, Amazon aren’t the doom and gloom story for retail in Australia. Unless you are Gerry Harvey that is.

There is no doubt whatsoever the landscape of retail has gone through some big step changes over the last few years. It’s evolving rapidly and globally, just as every industry on planet earth is. This is our new normal. Businesses from yesterday, are transforming themselves, they have to, or it’s time to pull down the shutters. We are in an era of innovate or die. Complacency and laziness with your customer are no longer tolerated in a high velocity, super connected world.
