The Future Workplace

I was recently interviewed by Marcia de los Santos as part of SBS Radio’s Future Hopes series, where we talked about the future workplace.

The rise of automation, computerisation, and teleworking are all predicted to have profound effects upon Australia’s future workforce, and with China’s slowing economy and increasing global uncertainty, what will Australia’s workplace look like in the future?

As human beings we are naturally resistant to change, but it’s time to embrace change, to be open minded and flexible, and to look forward to the opportunities ahead, as there are many.

The Future of Money and Banking

ABC 774 Melbourne’s Richard Stubbs is always great fun to chat with, and this time we were talking about the Future of Money and Banking. With it being literally days away from the financial year end, it’s all about money. Digital currencies, frictionless transactions, cashless business, these are all topics that are at the core of businesses up and down the country in 2015.

The big question is, what lies ahead in the future, and what do we need to do about it?

Has Netflix broken the internet?

Online video service Netflix has recently launched in Australia, and the demand for it has far exceeded expectations of anyone in the industry. Since the service has gone live, telecommunications providers such as Telstra, Optus and iiNet have witnessed overloading on their networks like never before. Is this the fault of Netflix, or the Telco’s themselves and what needs to be done about it?

Chris speaks with ABC Darwin’s Adam Steer on the impact that Netflix is having on Australia.
